Why You Should Do Your Own Nails in This Covid-19 World *Hype Nail Polish

When considering aspects of your health, the health of our nails is often overlooked. You may love getting your nails done at a nail salon. However, during COVID19, you may want to reconsider going to a nail salon to get your nails done and instead do your nails at home. We have outlined a list of reasons why you should not go to a nail salons COVID19.

Nail Salons Require Close Contact

One disadvantage that nail salons have during the pandemic is that they require close contact with other individuals in order to get your nails done. When you go to get your nails done, a nail technician will need to touch your hands and feet, as well as be close to you. This could lower the health at nail salons, especially when you factor in how close other patrons may be to you. At the nail salon, chairs for pedicures are lined up right next to each other. Even if you are protected from the nail technician by a plastic screen, this may not be the case for those that are seated next to you.

Nail Salons May Not Sanitize Properly

Since majority of nail salons have opened back up, many people are wanting to get their nails done. This means that many nail salons are overwhelmed with patrons, which could affect the health at nail salons. Customers could be waiting in line, putting the pressure on nail technicians to hurry up. This may lead to nail technicians not sanitizing items or materials properly before the next customer takes a seat. Keep in mind that nail salons are generally small locations with everyone all in one central room. This means that there may be many customers around you or waiting in line with you at the same time, which could be bad for your health.

Nail Salons Don’t Sanitize Nail Polish

It is not that nail salons choose not to sanitize nail polish during Covid19, it is that they just cannot. So, imagine that someone has chosen a color for their nails and then you choose that same color right after them. The nail polish that has just touched their nails will now be directly touching your own nails.

With nail salons opening back up, many people will be rushing to get in the doors. However, it is better for your health and safety to continue doing your own nails at home, as going to nail salons Covid19 could pose a risk to your health.
